ACCLAIMED trumpeter Gwyn Owen will perform Bach’s Brandenburg 2 Concerto at St Christopher’s Church, Haslemere, at the opening concert for the Waverley Ensemble season later this month.

The concert on Saturday, October 20, also features Brandenburg Concertos 4 and 5 directed by Ishani Bhoola, with Susan Milan and Susie Walsh playing flute, Daniel King Smith playing harpsichord, Louisa Handy playing oboe. Trevor Handy will perform Bach Cello Concerto.

Since moving to Haslemere in 2010, violinist Ishani has been teaching at the Hindhead School of Music. She also works with the London Philharmonic, the Philharmonia and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestras.

She founded the Waverley Ensemble, which has eight professional string and keyboard players based in and around the town. The concert starts at 7.30pm.
