OFSTED has once again rated Treloar School’s residential provision as ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

Treloar’s may now have the best ratings nationally as a provider of education and care to young people with disabilities, with Ofsted inspectors offering outstanding ratings for the quality of education in the school and college in Holybourne and a care quality commission rating of outstanding for its care and residential provision.

In the latest report, the inspectors, who spent three days at the school observing provision and collecting the views of students, staff and parents, were clearly impressed.

“The children and families receive an exceptional, inspirational service from a dedicated, multi-disciplinary staff group which is supported by a motivated and aspirational management team. The children make excellent social, emotional and educational progress as a result of the support they receive.”

A parent of one of the children is quoted in the report as saying: “This is an incredible school. The care my son receives is exceptional and has proved life-changing.”

Treloar principal Martin Ingram said he was delighted to receive a second outstanding result since January.

“Once again, I am delighted that the inspectors have praised our students for their excellent progress and I am really proud of our staff whose professionalism, hard work and kindness help to secure outstanding outcomes for all of the young people here.”
