HAMPSHIRE County Council has posted traffic order proposals for waiting restrictions in The Avenue and Avenue Close in response to long-term parking problems outside two village schools.

Problems outside Liphook infant and junior schools, in Avenue Close, were discussed during a meeting in September with representatives of the county'schildren's services and highways department and school head Michele Frost, along with county councillor Ferris Cowper, who represents Bramshott and Liphook.

The council stated: "The proposed waiting restrictions are being progressed in response to the parking problems created at either end of the school day due to poor or anti-social parking creating congestion and blocking residents' access to, and from, their properties."
