THE hot weather that bathed the Wimbledon tournament in sunshine for two glorious weeks hung on long enough to shine on a not-quite-as-well-known tournament Liphook Tennis Clubs finals day.

It produced the usual exciting challenges, disappointments and triumphs and to the victors went the trophies and cups and the losers the consolation of a bottle of wine.
