LONGMOOR Neighbourhood Police Team have issued a rural crime alert after launching Operation Falcon, the operation name given to force-wide proactive operations targeting rural crime and criminality.
A suspicious vehicle, driven by two males who also had lurcher dogs with them, was spotted near a farm in Liphook on Friday, August 5, at 11.30pm.
Police are reminding residents to be extra vigilant and keep an eye out for each other.
Officers advise to make it as difficult as possible for anyone to gain access, by fitting bollards or digging ditches around a perimeter.
If possible, owners should remove all private access points that are no longer in use and establish a single point of entry and exit, as well as place large logs in front of gates to restrict access.
Police also strongly advise to consider fitting CCTV or alarm systems that will capture pictures and send alerts or emails to the owner’s mobile phone.
If anyone spots anything suspicious they should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously and free on 0800 555111.
