SUPPORTERS defied torrential rain on Sunday to help the first ever Haslemere Challenge Cup raise more than £10k towards the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment (PWRR) Welfare and Benevolence Fund.

Organised jointly by the Woolmer Hill Sports Association (WHSA) and the PWRR, the event was a sparkling, if soggy, success.
