BOHUNT students took part in a successful Voices and Verses performance in front of a packed hall.
The theme of the evening – Heroes and Villains – was interpreted in many different ways by students from all school years.
Particular highlights included paying homage to Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men and Shakespeare's plays; modern performances inspired by Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes – a hard-hitting play on the impact of mobile phones on our lives; speculations of life in the future; dramatic pieces, creative writing and poems stimulated from work on World War II poetry.
The school's award-winning public speaking teams shared their views on teenagers today being seen as a "geek" with humorous rants about the obscure popularity of Hollister and the teenage fad term "Indie".
Students impressed teachers and parents alike with their wit, creativity and drive to put on a professional show.
