THE Peak Day Centre in Midhurst Road, Liphook – Sainsbury's chosen charity for 2011 – has been presented with a cheque of £320, making the total raised £2,000.
Sainsbury's also provided clients of the Centre with various items on their "wish list" over the year.
Each year customer are asked to fill out forms nominating their favourite local charity, which then goes before the supermarket's colleague council of twelve, who make the final decision.
Sainsbury's marketing manager, Vicky Farmer told The Herald: "All Sainsbury's stores chose their own local charity of the year and nominations are put forward to the in-house council for consideration.
