TO celebrate the NSPCC’s Big Board Game Day, a “sociable Scrabble” event is taking place at St Alban’s Church Hall in Hindhead next month.

Billed as a friendly, fun alternative way to play the word game, sociable Scrabble is suitable for beginners to geniuses alike, as everyone gets to use different tiles.

Sixteen participants are needed to take up the challenge from 1pm-5pm on Saturday, May 28. There will also be a raffle and refreshments.
