THE school council at Churcher’s College Junior School organised a fundraiser for the King’s Arms charity in Petersfield, raising £432.
This term children have supported this charity, keen to raise money to help other children who are young carers and face many challenges in their lives.
Pupils arranged a cake-making competition themed ’A Cake Fit For The Queen’ and invited British Bake Off finalist Miranda Gore Brown to judge.
Miranda was impressed with the standard of cakes and found judging them surprisingly challenging.
Children donated money to enter their cakes in the competition and after a fabulous tea party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday they sold the remaining cakes off.
Headteacher Ian Adams is pictured with the carboard cut-out of the Queen and the birthday cakes.
