EAST Hampshire District Council's cabinet agreed to huge cuts to services, after Government grants were massively reduced.

The grant given to the district council from Whitehall was cut by 36 per cent for 2010/11, but on top of that, a further unexpected £1.1m was additionally removed to account for the transfer of planning responsibilities to the South Downs National Park.
