HASLEMERE Classic Car Show is revving up for its 11th annual extravaganza on Lion Green from midday to 5pm tomorrow (May 26) as part of Haslemere Festival.
Organised by classic car restorer James Ewing, owners park up their pre-1979 motors for visitors to enjoy and are encouraged to dress in period outfits to match the vintage.
This year’s Best Dressed Car and Crew award, presented by show sponsors, new town business RedH - Real English Drinks House.
As well as a huge array of eye-catching cars, there is a traditional fete with a jazz band, children’s activities, food, bar and cream teas. The green will also be lined with quality stalls selling local produce, crafts, and classic car products.
Public entrance to the show is free but visitors are asked to support the event by buying a copy of our full colour professionally produced lucky programme for £1 which lists all the cars on display, they have a chance to win lots of prizes too in the programme draw. It’s great that we are able to provide free entertainment for the people of Haslemere while still raising money for the Haslemere Festival and helping to fund other events in the local community.
The show is supported by many local business’ and individuals. The 1268 Squadron Air Training Corps help on the day.
