Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm September 25 2021 to 6am July 9 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hogs Back to Thursley, carriageway, slip road and lane closures for technology works, diversion via local authority network.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A3, from 9am to 4pm on June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Hazel Grove to Knockhundred Lane Branshott Chase, diversion Route for off network closure of Knockhundred Lane for Hampshire Council.

• A3, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Thursley to Hindhead, Lane closures for resurfacing.

• A27, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 eastbound, Harts Farm to Langstone, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A3, from 9.30am to 4pm on June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Chalton slips to Berelands, diversion route only for Hampshire County Council works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
