Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am February 29 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm January 3 to 6am January 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Petersfield to Griggs Green, Lane closure for electrical works.

A3, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Queen Elizabeth Park, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm January 8 to 6am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Sheet, entry slip road and lane closure for drainage works, diversion via local authorities network.

A3, from 9pm January 8 to 6am January 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for construction improvement works, diversion via National Highways Network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
