AFTER watching the BBC’s programme on Bohunt’s Chinese School last summer, former pupils Tracey Tidbury and Sharon Conquer (nee Ennew), decided to organise a reunion for the class of ’86.
They set up a Facebook page and soon had a good response from other ex pupils was well as some teachers.
Tracey (pictured in the group) said: “We decided to hold the reunion at Old Thorns Country Hotel and a total of 52 ex-pupils and eight teachers came to celebrate 30 years since we left Bohunt School.”
“Quite a few nerves were showing, but the evening was a great success.
“Some people were still local to the area – but many had travelled from all over the UK, including locations in Scotland, Wales, Essex, Manchester, Devon, Wiltshire, Northamptonshire and East Sussex.
“One ex pupil had even flown over all the way from the USA. We hope to have more reunions in the coming years to enable those who could not make it to this one to come along.
“It really was fantastic to catch up after 30 years, even though it only seemed like yesterday when we left our school days behind.”
