FREE wifi is now available on more than half of all South West Trains services says the rail company.

The service means more main line trains as well as those to stations such as Portsmouth, Reading, Guildford, will also now be connected.

South West Trains says trains which have wifi available will be clearly labelled at each end of the carriage, and has been installed through a partnership between South West Trains and Nomad Digital.

Nomad chief executive Andrew Taylor said: “Passengers are increasingly using their travel time to work and get online, and we are committed to developing market-leading, innovative solutions to meet this growing demand."

Free WiFi can now be found on Class 444 “Desiro” trains. and Class 450 mainline and suburban services.
