A VILLAGE day planned for Liphook’s Millennium Green to join in with national celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday next month has been cancelled.

Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council is currently putting together its second Liphook village sports day on Saturday, July 2, but revealed last week it had become clear there wasn’t sufficient time to plan a village day as well.

The council added the village day, originally planned for Saturday, June 11, is now on hold and it is hoped something similar can organised some time in the future.
