LIPHOOK infant and junior schools held a cocoa and story reading evening to encourage the enjoyment of books.

Dressed in their pyjamas and some with their favourite teddy bear, children returned to school for an hour to hear their teachers read from a selection of their favourite books of stories and traditional tales.

Also present at the evening was Anne Matthews, from the Hampshire Schools Library Service, which offered advice for parents on sharing books with their children.
