Faith, learning and the South Downs are perfect fit for body and soulLandlady Chloe Watson received the award from Tony Davis, the East Hants branch secretary and pubs officer.
Tony said: “The pub has a long-standing entry in the Good Beer Guide and is renowned for its local Triple fff and guest ales.
“In recent years it has served Seacider ciders from Ditchling Common in East Sussex, one of a band of craft cider producers meeting CAMRA’s strict requirements for real cider – which means whole juice and no use of concentrates in a process more akin to wine making than the brewing of beer.
“Other fruit flavours are permitted to be added and Chloe usually has a range which can include black cherry, passion fruit or blueberry, which make for perfect summer drinking.”
