Keen golfers are required for a charity golf day and barbecue in aid of St Michael’s Hospice at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club on September 8.

There will be an 18-hole competition for teams of four to compete for the Tim Clayton Cup and raise money to help the hospice provide free compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses in north Hampshire.

The sign-up fee is £300 per team, which includes bacon rolls and coffee before tee-off at 11am. After the golf will be a barbecue, a prize-giving ceremony and an auction.

Becky Legate, events manager at the Basingstoke hospice, said: “This exciting date in our calendar always sees a brilliant turnout.”
