PLANS to create a 15-unit business park next to a Petersfield farm have been rubber stamped by planners.

Work is expected to begin at Buckmore Park next month as permission has been granted for the Gentian scheme after nearly a decade in the pipeline.

The “urban logistics park” between the A3 and Bell Hill recreation ground will include five buildings with a total 4,730 square metres of employment floor space.

It will also contain a host of sustainable and energy-saving features with a green roof and 200 metres of hedgerow planting also planned.

Aiden Murray, Gentian planning director, said the “exciting” and “well-designed business park” will attract economic development to the Petersfield area.
