The South Downs National Park Authority has formally adopted the Milland Neighbourhood Development Plan, following a referendum in May.
The committee extended its “thanks and congratulations to the community and SDNPA officers involved” and noted the process had been “instructive overall and would be helpful to other NDP groups”.
In addition the SDNPA stated the independent examiner’s report for Milland would be a “useful reference document” for communities embarking on their own Neighbourhood Development Plan.
The Milland NDP took two years to complete and will affect all development in the village for the next 15 years.
Key issues covered include infrastructure, affordable housing and preserving the natural environment and general character of the parish.
