CYLE rider organisers are hoping pedal power will defeat the gloom of the recession and smash last year's LiDBA's record total of £55,000 raised for local charities.

More than 1,000 cyclists will gather at Liphook's Bohunt Centre on Sunday to take part in the 19th annual LiDBA Charity Bike Ride.
