BRAMSHOTT and Liphook parish councillor Trevor Maroney has resigned.

Mr Maroney, who sat on the finance and policy, planning and Liphook Millennium Centre management committees, was one of three co-opted councillors after last year’s May elections.

A by-election will be held within 14 days if 10 electors give notice in writing to East Hampshire District Council’s returing officer – or the parish can co-opt someone.

Mr Maroney stood down last Wedbnesday.
