PROPOSALS for 58 houses and a care home on the former OSU site have been unveiled during a public consultation exhibition at the Millennium Centre this week.
Barratt development director Julian Jones said: "We mail dropped 120 nearby houses and advertised the consultation in the local press as well as on our community website.
"We were pleased with the turnout and reaction to the proposed plans were generally favourable."
But residents raised concerns via questionnaires about a number of issues concerning the Ministry of Defence's former Ordnance Supply Unit in Canada Way, including lack of extra parking provision at the railway station.
