YOUNG string musicians are being given an opportunity to perform with Hampshire County Youth Orchestra in Winchester Cathedral in July.

Hampshire County Council’s music service is inviting young string musicians aged under 19, playing at grade three and above, to a taster session tomorrow (Saturday) at Thornden School, in Chandlers Ford, where they will be asked to play violin, viola, cello or double bass.

Anyone who signs up for the performance will be asked to attend fortnightly rehearsals on Saturday mornings during the spring and summer term, culminating in the Noye’s Fludde performance on July 9.
