Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council may have to pay for an independent enquiry in connection with the suspension of its clerk Tony Groves.

Rumours of an external inquiry, which several councillors asked for right at the beginning, have been circulating in recent days.

The Herald understands that at least three members of the council have discussed such a move privately, with no end to the impasse in sight.
