FOLLOWING the refusal of an outline planning application for 67 homes and a care facility on the former OSU site, Taylor Wimpey UK and Stax Development have submitted a full planning application for a residential development
The new scheme comprises 62 units – a mixture of one to five-bedroom homes – together with access, parking and amenity space.
In addition, the developers have put forward an application for outline permission for larger employment and commercial floor space – to retain flexibility in terms of creating the requried employment opportunities.
Last November, planning officers at East Hampshire District Council felt the proposed care facility failed to provide sufficient employment prospects and that no justification for a lower level had been provided.
