HASLEMERE Town Council's opposition to plans to build 400 new homes on the site of the former King Edward VII hospital site in Midhurst has been backed by parish councillors in Liphook and Bramshott.

The parish's planning committee voted in unanimous support of a request by Michael Foster, chairman of planning at Haslemere Town Council, to object to the controversial planning application.
