A 67-year-old Liphook man, who went missing from his home last week, has returned home safely to his family.

Eric Arthur Goulding was last seen by his wife last Thursday morning, after leaving home driving his Volkswagen Polo.

He failed to pick her up as agreed a few hours later and the family could not contact him, getting increasingly concerned for his welfare as this type of behaviour was completely out of character.

Hampshire Constabulary launched an appeal, issuing a description as well as the registration number of his car,

But with concern mounting for Mr Goulding's safety, and following extensive appeals on Facebook and Twitter, police confirmed he was safe and well and back with his family, on Wednesday.
