THE Met Office has issued a further ’yellow’ weather warning, with thunderstorms and heavy rain possible in Surrey and Hampshire on Tuesday.
Some places will probably stay dry or at least miss the worst of the showers. However, the humid air across parts of southern UK may again encourage further outbreaks of thundery activity.
Where this happens up to around 30 mm could fall in an hour or less, with flooding a possibility.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded or struck by lighting, causing damage to some buildings.
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a slight chance that flooding or lightning strikes could cause power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
