All are invited to a Christmas fair in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday, December 3 at St George’s Church Hall, Badshot Lea, run by Right at Home GF.
The home care company runs a programme of fundraising events open to all. The Christmas fair is the latest, with all proceeds going to help fund research and improve care and support for those living with dementia and their carers.
Alastair Shanks, the home care company’s managing director, said: “We have everything you would want at a traditional Christmas fair, including Santa’s grotto, hand-made gifts and decorations, children’s activities and mulled wine. So make sure you come along to St George’s Church Hall between 11am and 2pm to join in the fun!”
Also among the 20-plus stalls will be a novelty selfies booth and a Christmas nails bar. There will also be home-made cakes, Christmas crafts and plenty of opportunities to win a prize in the name-the-elf competition and a raffle.
Right at Home GF provides a range of care to people in their own homes to enable people to live safely and comfortably at home for as long as possible.
The company’s team of CareGivers provide care to adults of all ages, including older people and people with dementia as well as people recovering from hospital treatment and younger adults requiring support in order to live independently.
Alongside therapeutic community activities such as Signing for the Mind and Love to Move which use music and gentle exercise to provide stimulation, Right at Home GF organises several fundraising events each year, open to all, to raise money for good causes.
Mr Shanks continued: “We’re holding our Christmas fair again this year because it was a great success in 2021 and people enjoyed coming along. Everyone is welcome to join us and we hope to raise lots of money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
