TWO major outline applications for much-needed leisure and medical facilties – made by the owners of Bohunt Manor Estate – have been given the go ahead.

Following a public consultation, landmark plans for new sports, recreation and a medical centre on frontage land adjacent to the Portsmouth Road were submitted to East Hampshire District Council in February.

And this week they have been approved and can now go ahead and heralded as the "best news for the Liphook area in years".
