WHITEHILL Town Council hosted the first in its series of litter picks this weekend.

As the sun shone down on those taking part, Whitehill & Bordon town mayor Bisi Kennard and leader of the town council Andy Tree joined in with their litter pickers.

Around 14 bags of rubbish and two abandoned shopping trollies were collected from Jubilee Park and the Deadwater Valley Nature Reserve.

Cllr Kennard said: “It was lovely to meet everyone at the litter pick on Sunday and we’ve got great weather for the next one.”

Cllr Tree added: “It’s amazing how many bags we are able to fill in such a short space of time. A big thank you to the residents who came to help.”

The next litter pick will take place this Saturday from 10am to 12pm at Sutton Field.
