A LIPHOOK GP is at the heart of the biggest reorganisation of the NHS since it was formed in 1948.

Dr Barbara Rushton, a GP at Liphook and Liss surgeries, chairs the NHS South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, which represents 28 member practices along the A3 corridor from Hayling Island to Bordon, including Petersfield, Waterloville and Havant.

In a few weeks, as a key element of the government's NHS reforms, the clinical commissiong groups are set to replace primary care trusts as the main planner and commissioner of health services for their local populations.
