IT was party time at St Bart’s Primary School when the community joined together to raise £2,333 for Children in Need, last Friday.
The school teamed up with Ken Griffiths, of Haslemere Fringe, Haslemere Hares’ Melissa King and Andy Hart, from The Music Works, to mount a sell-out concert, which featured performances by talented pupils from each year group and headline acts Xample and The Unwanted.
Fundraiser in chief on the night was Pudsey Hare, painted and signed by former supermodel and racing driver, Jodie Kidd.
The five-foot, artwork was raffled in aid of Children in Need and the winners were pupils Emma and James Mackay.
Headteacher and guitarist Charles Beckerson, said: “We are already excitedly talking about what we will do next year and hope to involve children from the other schools in Haslemere.”
