Photographs of sex symbol Jayne Mansfield and co-star Anthony Quayle, who filmed It Takes a Thief in the 1960s, are among the artefacts that adorn the walls of the pub.
Comedian Frankie Howerd, a star of The Great St Trinian's Train Robbery, is another celebrity who dropped in for a pint of good beer and a warm welcome.
Last orders will be taken on Monday evening by landlord and landlady Steve and Lorraine Frain, who are the fourth couple to have run the pub since the end of the Second World War.
