The squeal of his Labrador dog led Mark Upjohn to the sad discovery of a woman's body in woods off Drift Road, Blackmoor, an inquest at Basingstoke heard last Wednesday.

The body of Mary Breakwell, of Malthouse Court, Liphook, was found lying near a tree. Although she left no note the inquest heard she had been suffering from depression and had "never quite come to terms" with the death of her husband 10 years ago.

Coroner Andrew Bradley described it as a "gravely sad case".
