LIPHOOK Bowling Club celebrated a romantic double act with husband and wife Richard and Sandra Baker (pictured) winning the men’s and ladies’ singles competitions.

This was a first in the club’s history and the winners were thrilled to take both trophies home.

The club, which is based at the Recreation Ground, off London Road, has some 70 members of which 40 to 50 are regular players of all levels and ability as well as three teams participating in county competitions.

During the summer season there are club singles, doubles, triples and other competitions while during the winter season there is an active short mat community playing on two rinks.
