SENTINEL Housing Association and Hampshire Libraries are joining forces and looking for ‘digital champions’ across the region to help people improve their online skills.
From booking a doctor’s appointment to grocery shopping, it’s increasingly important to be part of the digital world. But with 11 million people across the UK lacking the basic computer skills, many can’t use the internet safely or access the benefits it can provide.
That’s why Sentinel and Hampshire Libraries are looking for people who can help people get to grips with the digital age.
These volunteers need to be people who enjoy using the internet and have a few spare hours to help people learn some basic computer skills, such as sending and receiving e-mails, using a search engine, browsing the web, and completing online forms.
