A REVISED housing strategy setting the blueprint for development in East Hampshire came under scrutiny at a Community Forum last week.

Alton's revised quota is 1,682 – including 982 completions or commitments plus 700 new allocations all on greenfield sites.

But that could increase by up to 300 pending the inspector's final ruling on whether Petersfield should take 400 new homes put forward by the South Downs National Parks Authority or a higher figure of 700, preferred by East Hampshire District Council.
