HHH Concerts welcomed flautist Morven Brown and Laudine Dard, harpist, to a day of performances for both young and old.
In the morning the duo visited Witley School for a concert and workshop at which Around 90 children were spellbound by music which ranged from a lively ‘Tango’ by Piazzolla, through Debussy’s gentle and dreamlike Syrinx and ending with an exciting Czardas by Vittorio Monti. The music was followed by a workshop for the oldest class, which included the chance to ask questions and games involving rhythm, dynamics and tone.
The duo then presented a free afternoon concert at St Christopher’s Church, Weyhill, for older people and those who might find it hard to go out in the evening.
