THE ROTARY Club of Haslemere opened a ‘pop-up’ shop in West Street, Haslemere on Saturday – offering PPE to shoppers in a bid to keep people safe and boost the town economy.

“Our plan is to make PPE readily available on a weekly basis to people who are now beginning to shop in our urban areas,” said the club’s new president, Mike O’Neil.

Those who need PPE will have an opportunity to give a contribution to Mike’s chosen charities: The Haslemere Stroke Club and Haslemere Food Bank.

The shop will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

Mike said: “The premises are being temporarily used by Rotary while waiting a new leaseholder. The club is very grateful to the owner for allowing the club to utilise this asset, and also to the Shottermill Great War Memorial Trust that gave the club a grant to help this initiative.”
