Haslemere's Rotary Club donated £7,000 to two local charities – Talk to Me and The Hunter Centre – at its Christmas party. 

Rotary president Ken Griffiths wanted to distribute some of the money already raised for his two charities. He said: “It’s no good sitting in the club charity account let’s get it out where it can do some good.”

The Rotary Club also joined Santa and his sleigh as they travelled around town raising funds for charities in December.
