LIPHOOK Golf Club opened its doors to 92 golfers to raise funds for the Haslemere-based Dementia Day Care facility, The Hunter Centre.
The event was planned by Liphook’s joint captains, Siobhan Dawson and Mike Kendall, who both chose The Hunter Centre as their captains’ charity for 2019.
The combined entry fees, tombola and silent auction prizes raised £9,000.
Team members came from far and wide, most including at least one member from Liphook Golf Club.
Starting their day at 8am with breakfast – a shot-gun start at 9.30am launched the groups of four on to the course, and the top four teams came close to each other with scores between 82 and 86.
Bramshott Place retirement village was overall sponsor for the day, but 11 of 18 holes were sponsored individually by local businesses.
Key figures from the Hunter Centre were also in attendance at the event.
