A COUPLE celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the weekend with a nostalgic trip to St Mary's Church in Bramshott – where they were married in 1959.

And in a happy twist, not only did Jean and Barney Barnard return to the scene of their nuptials for the first time in half a century, they bumped into a former work colleague of Mrs Barnard, who just happened to be visiting the village's Canadian war cemetery.
