THOUGHTS about, views on and experiences of violence against women and girls (VAWG) are being sought by Hampshire police and crime commissioner Donna Jones.

Feedback will give her VAWG Task Group a clear understanding of the scale and impact of these crimes, which take many forms and have long-lasting traumatic effects, across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

It wants to hear people’s experience of the reporting process, understand the capacity of support services, identify examples of best practice, learn about challenges in tackling VAWG and identify potential improvements.

Ms Jones said: “Help us to take action that will prevent these crimes and ensure victims are provided with the support they need to rebuild their lives and to get the justice they deserve.”

There are three surveys, one for adults at http://s.alchemer.eu/s3/Public-VAWG-Survey-2022, one for young people aged 11 to 25 at http://s.alchemer.eu/s3/Young-People-s-VAWG-Survey and one for professionals and experts at http://s.alchemer.eu/s3/VAWG-Practitioner-Survey-2022 They are open until 11.59pm on April 18.
