A landmark pub near Butser Hill has reopened following an extensive refurbishment.
Renovators deserve a pint after completing a hefty makeover at The Hampshire Hog near Clanfield.
The former Hog’s Lodge reopened last weekend with its bedrooms, bar, dining area and garden being given a fresh new look by Fullers.
A variety of “multi-faceted” spaces have been created in the newly decorated bar and dining area ranging from large tables to intimate, semi-private booths with soft furnishings throughout.

There’s still plenty of seating and a covered area and marquee in the garden while the hotel’s 20 bedrooms have undergone the biggest transformation.
The rooms have been decorated with subtle nods to the pub’s name with porcine ornaments and bric-a-brac with other countryside characters featuring throughout.
The pub’s kitchen is now fully electric and powered by renewable energy while four EV charging points have been installed in the car park.

“I’m delighted to have reopened with our amazing new look,” said Stuart Midgely, general manager.
“Our reopening weekend was a huge success and we received great feedback about the pub and the bedrooms.
“Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite to eat, or staying the night, my team and I look forward to welcoming you to our stunning new-look hotel.”
