IT WAS fourth time lucky for a Farnham family as their son got married at the fourth attempt.
Martin Croft, who grew up in Farnham, was originally meant to marry Cecily Everall in July 2020, but the wedding was postponed because of Covid. Two other dates were postponed before the wedding went ahead on August 28.
The wedding was held at The Chapel of All Saints at New Wardour Castle. The service was conducted by Fr Edward Corbould OSB and The Reverend Lady Lisvane.
Afterwards, at the bride’s family home near Semley, Dorset, a banquet and dance was held for 125 guests.
Martin’s mother Rosamund, who still lives in Farnham, was delighted with how the wedding went.
She said: "It was a lovely day and we were very lucky with the weather.
"The church at Wardour is one of the grandest catholic churches built in England since the reformation.
"Martin went to Salesian College and Alton College, where he met his best man Justin King."
Martin and Cecily will live in Pewsey, Wiltshire.
