A former Herald employee and mother-of-two has written a children’s book.

Louise Pearson, of Farnborough, has created The Bug Circus, which was published at the end of March this year.

She said: “The story is called The Bug Circus and follows the main character, Doug the ant, on his adventures as a circus hand, meeting all his different bug friends and all their different talents through a rhyming story and beautiful illustrations.

“I’d like to spread the word to local parents about my book.

“I used to work at the Herald, as my first job back in 2001-02.”

The Bug Circus is currently available at all major book stores.
